Homegrown poker festivals are thriving in Vietnam, and just in 2 weeks, the place you should be is the Vietnam Series of Poker (VSOP) Championship IX. Pegged by players as the coolest looking poker room in Hanoi, the upcoming series by VSOP showcases an impressive ₫20 Billion (~$860,000) in combined guarantees. This is the richest Championship series prize pool announced by the poker room, increasing by an additional 17 billion Vietnamese dong compared to the first edition two years ago.

This year has been tremendous for the VSOP with its homegrown festival guarantees rising in just four years from ₫3 Billion to a mighty ₫20 Billion. In July, the room experienced its mid-year international festival with the Asian Poker Tour hosting a ten-day series that eventually paid out an enormous over ₫90 Billion (~$3.87+ Million).

MAIN EVENT – ₫6 Billion guaranteed
The VSOP Championship IX presents a long list of guaranteed prize pools, the biggest of course is designated for the Main Event which brings in a ₫6,000,000,000 (~$258,100) guarantee. The Main Event kicks off with three starting days plus a turbo flight. This is followed by Day 2 and the Final 8. Buy in is ₫16.5 Million (~$665). It runs from September 12 to 16.
Promo alert! It pays to sign up early with two incentives to take advantage of. For Day 1A, the club apply discount 50% rake for all buy-in and re-buys, and after for Day 1B will be Early Bird – Free Rake for 6 first players .
